recent stuff

I really do try to stay more current on this platform. I get sidetracked, don’t know what to say, or just plain forget to do it. Anywho, things are well, the shop is getting new stuff in it all the time. Thanks to everyone who is helping clear the way. This week, two small BMX orders, one is here, the other one on Friday. A big skate order will be here next week. By the end of the month, into next month there should be a big scooter order with lots of completes.

We have shirts!!! American made and screened by Opaque Collective in STL.

memorial day weekend

Great weekend so far. The rain has been staying away and the temps have been nice. I hope everyone is getting in some sessions at the park. Thank you to everyone that has come through and said “Hi” or grabbed a board, bike parts or scooter parts. More stuff is on the way. Hopefully we’ll have a fully stocked shop by Friday. And please remember this weekend to honor the fallen.

here we go……

I was in the 6th grade when I saw my first issue of BMX Plus. It was life changing. The colorful bikes, how to do tricks sequences, and Radical Rick. It seemed to happen overnight. The neighborhood went from bmx racing to bmx freestyle. I was hooked, it made complete sense. This is what I was meant to do.

When I got to the 7th grade skateboarding had a revival. But this time no slalom courses and kick turn ramps to powerslide on. No more plastic decks. We now had wide boards with amazing art on the bottom. The pros skated with raw aggression and power fueled by punk rock. Here’s that feeling again, just like with bikes. I had my love for bmx and skateboarding had become its mistress.

Bmx always seemed to edge out skateboarding. I loved them both equally. I still do. So here we are almost 40 years later, I’m 54, my body is beat up pretty bad. I’ve been tough on it. Bmx, skateboarding, hockey, and 20+ years of factory work took its toll. I still roll around when I can and the factory work is far behind me. So, what do I do now? I still love bikes and skating like I did when I first saw it. Well, it’s a love/hate but a lot more love than hate. With all that being said… everyone, I give you… Subdivisions.
